Don't miss the November 9th Speaker's Bureau presentation of Dinosaurs Matter featuring Darla Roberts who will convince the audience of the modern day relevance of these prehistoric creatures with common and uncommon dino facts, figures as well as "hands on" experience using samples from her personal collection.
Darla has had a life-long interest in dinosaurs, participating in three different digs in South Dakota's Badlands. She has spent hours working with paleontologists as they locate and retrieve dino treasures. Some of her collection she will bring to the presentation are estimated to be 66 to 145 million years old, part of the Cretaceous era which occurred right before dinosaurs disappeared from earth. Just as the movie Jurassic Park demonstrated, man did not fare well when confronted with the ginormous creatures and it is believed that humans would not exist if dinosaurs still roamed the earth!
Don't miss this exciting journey into the past.....you may just be one of the lucky three attendees that takes home small samples of dino remains!
Registration is now open on the Community Center website....use Course #2253 to sign up for this interesting "meet and greet" with dinosaurs!
