"As president of Encore for More, I’m here to recognize the partnership and support that FVV has provided to Encore over the past decade.
In addition to FVV providing monthly blood pressure checks, they support our social activities like weekly Bingo and our other programs New Adventures Day Trips and Speaker Series program here at the community center.
FVV has also hosted activities for Encore, including our recent cooking classes and who can forget during Covid when they hosted a bingo luncheon for Encore.
When FVV found out we needed a new bingo console, they immediately stepped up to help Encore with a large donation.
On behalf of Encore for More it gives me the honor to officially recognize our long-term partnership with FVV becoming a Platinum Sponsor and look forward to our continuing partnership."

President Gail Makes Introductions And Opening Remarks
Gail introduced Linda Kuhn and Michelle Williamson from Fountain View Village as well as Encore Vice President Debbie Skehen and Board Member/Speaker's Bureau Coordinator Mary Burritt who were also present for the momentous occasion. It really was a "big deal day" at Bingo Tuesday!!
Our New State Of The Art Console Dedicated!
No one is enjoying the new console more than Mark Dalton, one of our Bingo callers that can actually use all the bells, whistles and technical capabilities available on this console. Since the Bingo Program began, the Team made due with used, refurbed equipment that was nursed along over the years.....thank you Fountain View Village for helping us get this new equipment!!!

Although it will be tough enduring three whole weeks of "Bingo drought", hopefully absence will make the heart grow fonder and provide the Community Center staff and the Bingo Team time to plan and prepare for the celebratory reopening on July 8th!

Volunteer Bunny Suzi Denny, front row left above, won the $200 Game #10 coverall and received loud applause from the other players partly in recognition for her great service as a Bingo Volunteer.

April 20th officially kicks off Volunteer Week even though Bingo has been recognizing the Bingo Team of Volunteers all month. We hope they are "feeling the love" for all they do every Tuesday, 52 times a year! The Encore Board will recognize all Encore volunteers on Wednesday, April 23rd and hope to express their appreciation for the success volunteers bring to all Encore Programs.
Bingo Tuesday, April 22nd will be eventful, busy and fun including the "White Ticket" Encore Fundraiser 50/50 Raffle to raise money for the new console, the "Red Ticket" Free Admission Raffle, Game #4 "Encore 8", $50 in 30#'s or less or a Consolation Prize of $25, Good Neighbor $5 left or right, Wild Number in Game #10.....and that's just to start. The 22nd is also Earth Day......heaven only knows what Joanna has in mind for that one......"a tree grows in the Community Center"??

On April 1st Joanna kicked off Volunteer Month sharing thoughts and thanks as she recognized her Volunteer Bingo Team.....the best of the best!! In her own words....
"April is Volunteer month and we have lots to celebrate. You should all be proud of your
contribution to our bingo program as bingo workers. We have come a long way. Your valuable time and support shows with the success of our program. Your service, compassion, 5 minimum hours of volunteering each week, flexibility and energy is the proof of the pudding. The 12 volunteers (3 callers and 9 bingo workers combined) donated 5,000 hours to our bingo program in 2024.
Encore for more is thankful for your Time, Energy and Talents that you share with our bingo program. Our volunteers do not get paid, not because they are
worthless, but because they are PRICELESS!
Thank you once again for all you do for the Encore Bingo Program. We Appreciate You!!!!!"

March Madness Made A Big Winner!...April Fun Day Starts 4/1!

On March 25th, Vivian Shane became Bingo's first double back to back winner when she took home $100 from the 50/50 Encore Console Fundraiser and the Free Bingo Admission raffle. To "top" it off she won the beautiful crocheted wrap she is wearing that was created and donated by an anonymous Hooks and Needles participant.
86 players enjoyed Bingo last week as many winter players bid their adieu as they prepare to leave for the heat of summer. It will be a challenge to reach out and share the fun and excitement of Bingo with other year round residents to keep the momentum and friendly competition going!

Not only is the Bingo Team cross trained to fill in all the positions required to put together a successful Bingo Program, but they "show up for duty week, after week, after week, after week......well, you get the drill! Commitment to the program and providing great customer service with never-ending smiles is their motto and this combo contributes greatly to what makes the Bingo program the success it is. More great things about Volunteer Month are the extra opportunities to win and surprises around every corner. So be sure to mark your calendar for Bingo Tuesday the 1st....take a minute to share a thanks with a volunteer.....always appreciated!

Volunteers Always Welcoming to Regular and New Players
Our Volunteers are key to Bingo's success week after week, month after month. Angie, Jan and Joan served as greeters and cashiers at Valentine Bingo. All volunteers are cross-trained so they can perform all tasks that make Bingo run like a "well oiled machine"!
Raffle Master Bill Pape and Volunteer Carol Sold 50/50 Tickets
Fundraising efforts have begun to "feed the coffers" to purchase a much needed new Bingo board. Bill Pape offered to head up the 50/50 raffle component providing Bingo players a way to contribute to the cause while getting chances to win some extra cash!
